How does personal coaching work?
My signature training is in Human Potential and Presence Based coaching.
Being aware of your thoughts, feelings and body sensations, is the central premise of these coaching models. They encourage you to settle into stillness, and pay attention to what is happening for you right now.
I coach in partnership with you to discover points of resistance that may be preventing you from taking informed action. Guided by your agenda, you identify and take manageable actions that aims to your current situation for the better.
At the end of each coaching session, we agree on your next steps. If appropriate, I send bespoke resources to help you work through the issues you have bought to the coaching table, or will signpost you to online resources.
In my coaching toolkit, I use tried and tested coaching models, psychological, therapeutic & resilience theories, somatic processes, mindfulness practices and intuitive wisdom to support you. I engage in ongoing CPD.
How often should you have a coaching session?
Personal coaching is based upon your intentions, needs and investment available.
Some clients meet once a week for an accelerated package of coaching, exploring a specific issue i.e.1-6 sessions over 6 weeks for short term investment.
Other clients have a coaching session once a month for a sustained period of time if they are managing more complex issues which need a medium to long term approach, i.e. once a month for 6 months to a year with the occasional check-in when required.
